Do you donate your profits to charity?
Some online shops donate a portion of their profits to charitable causes. In the vegan lifestyle sector in particular, donating to animal rights organizations or similar institutions is an obvious idea. However, we at Carrotees have made a conscious decision not to do so, even though it would naturally bring us some advantages in terms of marketing and image. That’s why we offer T-shirts starting at €24 instead of €40. So, in the end, you’ll have €16 more in your pocket. Feel free to donate it to an NGO of your choice or go to your local animal shelter and donate a pallet of pet food with the money you’ve saved. Your money is better invested in local animal rights organizations or animal shelters than in large companies that have to spend a lot of money on administration and marketing. We believe that you are the best judge of how to invest your money and encourage every buyer to donate money within their own means. We don’t patronize anyone.
Why don’t you offer exclusively organic products?
Even though we encourage every visitor to buy our organic products, unfortunately the decision often comes down to each individual’s budget. We want to help ensure that anyone who wants to wear a T-shirt with a vegan message has the opportunity to do so. Simply by promoting a vegan and animal-friendly lifestyle, we are trying to make the world a little bit better, and even a non-organic T-shirt can help achieve this.
What is the idea behind Carrotees?
Carrotees is run exclusively by vegans, so naturally the message “Live without animal suffering” is our top priority. However, we focus more on “togetherness” than on “against others.” We strive to strengthen the spirit of community among vegans rather than aggressively denouncing or proselytizing to those who live differently through our T-shirt designs. That doesn’t mean we don’t offer the occasional design intended to make omnivores think 😉 . In short, we’re more likely to have T-shirts with the message “Why does everything have to contain milk powder?” than “YOU ANIMAL KILLER!!!!”.
But I think other shops are cooler!
As a really small online shop that hasn’t been around for very long, we try to offer you the best of what we have available.
